When we talk about fasting, about from you denying yourself food, water and the likes, you pray which is actually the reason for the fasting. There is this you must include in your fasting and prayer that makes your fasting void in not inclusive, ‘FAITH’. Our Lord Jesus Christ when He has finished the healing of a lunatic whom the disciples had prayed for without result told them something is still missing in the prayer life.
“Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast it out? And he saith unto them, Because of your little faith: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. But this kind goeth not out save by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:19-21 (ASV)
Here is what you need to know from hence, no pray and fasting is activated without faith. The writer of the book of Hebrew wrote faith is substance of things hope for and evidence of things not seen. Hebrew 11:1 (Self Phrased). You obviously are in need of a thing that has led you to fast and pray and if you don’t have faith it definitely not come which means you have wasted your entire time of prayer and fasting.
Friend, if you don’t want to waste your time and energy praying and fasting, you definitely need to activate your FAITH. This is the actual code of answered prayer.
