DEVELOPING PERSONAL PRAYER LIFE (Be Private, Not Show-Off)

Our faithful father, it is another new week, and we are entrusting it all to your care that you will bless the week for us in Jesus name. Amen.
Halleluyah!
This new week, we will be discussing a very vital topic, though not new but requires our revisit for the sake of edification. Prayer is a life we live and is defined by many as thoughtfully known. It actually a way we relate with God with the purpose of having response from Him. There are various reason we pray and at the end of every prayer, we all expect reward as in answer to our request in prayer to God.
There are various classes, categories or say types of prayer. For the actual purpose of this week, we will be considering DEVELOPING PERSONAL PRAYER LIFE. When it is person, it involves one person, and it has to be well done for the one to get his/her reward from God.
“When you pray, don’t be like those show-offs who love to stand up and pray in the meeting places and on the street corners. They do this just to look good. I can assure you that they already have their reward. When you pray, go into a room alone and close the door. Pray to your Father in private. He knows what is done in private, and he will reward you.” Matthew 6:5-6 (CEV)
Jesus Christ our Lord in His earthly days of ministry, He many times taught His disciples to learn to relate with God in prayer, giving, fasting and the likes. On the course of His first seminar, He had with the people around Him explain what it takes to develop a personal relationship with God in prayer. He so much explained that it has to be between you and God and that it must not disturb another. Jesus added that if anyone gets to complain about your prayer with God, it is no longer prayer, it is a show-off matter.
Keep your privacy with God, grow with Him and enjoy swift answer to your prayer as your reward for making friendship with Him. It doesn’t have to be a public affair, make it private to grow with God and that is why it is personal not collective prayer.

I pray for this week that you will not fall in the trap of the enemy and whoever set such trap for you will fall into same in Jesus name. Jehovah will go with you and win for you even as He will make every good think fall in place for you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
