DO NOT MISUSE YOUR LIBERTY IN CHRIST
Isaiah 61:1 & Romans 6:1-10

Our dear Lord we thank you for another day and week beginning with you in Jesus name. Do bless the day and week for our prosperity and comfort in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Liberty is other word for freedom and most time men who were once in bondage take advantage of the freedom they now enjoy. Some persons are just overwhelmed by the good they enjoyed why some others are still under the influence of adversity and the likes. The prophet Isaiah once told is about the coming Messiah who will bring liberty to all and a day assigned for liberty.
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;” Isaiah 61:1 (KJV)
This liberty as gained by Apostle Paul is one thing he has learnt not to take advantage of nor be misused. One way we misuses our liberty is returning to those things that then led us to bondage ‘SIN’. Here is his admonition to the Romans church.
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:” Romans 6:1-5 (KJV)
Friend, most things we fall victims of are those things we already knew will not give us life through Jesus Christ. We confess them, and yet return to them either consciously or unconsciously. This it is brethren, let your baptism be relevant in your life and enjoy your freedom in Jesus Christ. Amen.
I pray for you this morning that the Lord will bring you the joy of many generations this day and week in Jesus name. Anyone standing against your peace shall let you be hence in Jesus name. Go and make greater achievement and enjoy more peace in Jesus name. Amen.
